
This workshop is intended to provide participants with basic skills that are essential for managing themselves and others.
About training
It will reveal the essence of different styles of management and focus on how to motivate staff using various team management approaches. In addition, this workshop takes a look at time management in the public sector and offers practice in priority-setting and effective delegation of responsibilities.
This workshop is interactive in nature and is based primarily on practice, rather than theory. Workshop activities are designed to stimulate the exchange of ideas and experience. The mission of the trainers is to foster open discussion and to provide feedback to all participants in each workshop.
During the workshop, participants will learn about their individual styles of management and understand what they nee to do to improve it. In addition, workshop participants will become aware of and be able to explain the difference between their actual and optimal management skills in regard to:
- staff motivation,
- communicating with subordinates and superiors,
- team management,
- delegation,
- time management.
Workshop location and duration
Each workshop takes place in the School of Senior Civil Service and lasts two days, from 09:30 to 17:00. Find out when the next workshop takes place here.
Trainers
Anthony Little is a professional consultant and trainer with experience in finance, marketing and business administration. During the course of his career, he has worked with businesses, local government bodies, central governments, international donors, and many other types of clients. He teaches courses that he has designed in management development, team-building, organizational development, goal-oriented planning, and many other topics in management. He has run his workshops with participants from many countries in Eastern, Central and Western Europe, Africa, and the CIS. Mr. Little has worked as an independent consultant and trainer for over 12 years.
Oleksandr Mieshalkin is a business trainer with considerable experience in consulting top managers, in developing and running workshops in strategic and operations planning, in managing change, and other disciplines. He has developed and run workshops for the last nine years. In addition, he holds a post-graduate degree in sociology and has substantial experience teaching in an academic environment.
Mariana Demkova is a professional manager, Deputy Chair of the Board and director of the Center for Political and Legal Reforms. She is also an expert and trainer in e-Government.
