The Art of Communication in Public Administration

E-mail Print PDF
communication_art_enThis workshop is designed to improve communication skills among top managers in the civil service, for whom interacting with other government agencies, the press and the public is a basic job requirement.

About training

Training provides an opportunity to get some practice in leading discussions and handling day-to-day negotiations, in trouble-shooting and conflict resolution, and in how to effectively and persuasively present arguments. It also offers a way to pick up ideas about the most up-to-date approaches to communication with the press and the public.
After participating in a two-day communication workshop, you can expect to:

  • recognize your own style of communication and the basics of communicating with your co-workers, colleagues, the press, the public, politicians, and so on;
  • be familiar with the partnership approach to negotiations and to understand your own style and role in this process;
  • gain information about effective ways of communicating with central executive bodies using e-Government.

Workshop location and duration

Each workshop takes place in the School of Senior Civil Service and lasts two days, from 09:30 to 17:00. Find out when the next training takes place here.
