About training

During the session, its participants together with trainers will elaborate a strategic plan for a public institution with taking into consideration its main goal and drafting strategic measures to form the basis of major annual plans.

The joint effort will result in a better understanding of the strategic planning methodology, which will be sufficient enough to let participants further develop the process independently. The course is based on a "working" procedure for strategic planning within organizations. Participants will use it as a principal basis, although they will be supposed to elaborate the main part of the concept of drafting strategic plans and also select practical examples on their own.

Workshop location and duration

Each workshop takes place in the School of Senior Civil Service and lasts two days, from 09:30 to 17:00. Find out when the next workshop takes place here.

Trainers

Pavlo Shmarov

Pavlo Shmarov is a professional advisor and business trainer. With strengths in strategic, project and finance management, he is able to work with a variety of participants and has done professional training with major Ukrainian and foreign corporations and Ukrainian government agencies.

Serhiy Zahorodniuk

Having worked for the last nine years at the National Academy of Public Administration, Serhiy Zahorodniuk understands, like no one else, the needs of senior civil servants. He has considerable experience in developing and testing training programs in communication for Ukrainian civil servants. He also holds a post-graduate degree in public administration and is vice president of the Ukrainian Association of European Studies.

Olena Adamenko

Olena Adamenko is a professional business trainer with several years' experience in personnel management at a number of leading Ukrainian companies. Actively engaged in management consulting and strategic management training, she runs business workshops and audits HR management systems.
