One of the first experimental products of the School of Senior Civil Service was the Management Development Program 2009 - a series of short trainings, which were hold from October to December 2009 and induced the representatives of senior civil service to develop their management skills.

We wanted to give the top managers of civil service of Ukraine the skills they needed. In 2009 the School of Senior Civil Service conducted the training needs assesment, which became the basis for a special training program - Management Development Program 2009, carried out jointly with European partners (ROI International, the Netherlads).

Management Development Program 2009 included the following trainings:

• Managing Change in the Public Sector
• The Art of Communication in Public Administration
• Strategic Management
• Management
• Leadership
• Effective HRM

The format of Management Development Program 2009 included minimum of lectures and was focused on interactive work in groups, providing the best way of learning new skills and abilities.
